WART REMOVAL
Regenlite - fast and effective laser treatment for the removal of warts in as little as one session
WHAT ARE WARTS?
Warts are benign bumps on the skin caused by the Human Papillomavirus. Warts are contagious and can be spread through direct or indirect contact. Those with compromised immune systems may be more susceptible to developing warts after coming into contact with HPV.
HOW DOES LASER WORK?
Regenlite laser disables the blood supply feeding the wart. Without a healthy blood supply, the virus cannot survive and the wart breaks down. The surrounding skin is not damaged during treatment.
As warts can spread very quickly, it’s important to treat them as soon a flare-up occurs to minimise the spread.
WHO AND WHAT CAN BE TREATED?
Skin Types 1-4 only. Skin types 5 & 6 may want to consider consulting a GP or dermatologist for a safe and effective alternative. Click here to learn more about skin types.
Genital warts can be treated if they are external.
Certain areas such as around the eyes, ears and nose may not be suitable for treatment.
A letter of diagnosis from a GP or dermatologist must be provided before treatment can go ahead.

The laser treatment disables the blood supply feeding the wart. If that blood supply is particularly strong, a single session may only weaken the vessel, meaning a second or third session may be needed to destroy it completely.
-
The wart will likely get darker after treatment. Over the following weeks, the skin’s natural cell turnover will eliminate the wart, revealing smooth skin beneath.
-
Laser treatment will remove existing warts but cannot eradicate the virus from your body, meaning future flare-ups may still occur.
-
Yes, so long as they are external.
-
Although a very safe treatment, it’s important we ensure you are a suitable candidate for the Regenlite and that there are no contraindications preventing treatment.
A patch test must be performed to check there are no adverse reactions to the laser. Once 24 hours has passed without issue, we can go ahead with the full treatment.
